We are witnessing a complete destabilization and disintegration of our southern border — in other words, the fundamental transformation of America from a sovereign state into an open border free-for-all. It is essentially a southern border invasion. Let me share three relevant statements from our Constitution: Article 1, Section 8: “To provide for the calling forth of the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress insurrections and repel invasions.” Article 1, Section 10: “No State shall, without consent of Congress, lay any Duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State or foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit to delay.” Article 4, Section 4: “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against invasion.” Our southern border is being invaded and our Constitution tasks the federal government to repel such and protect the states in this union from such an invasion. It also enables sovereign states in this republican form of governance to protect themselves from invasion or such imminent danger.
