We arrived safely – thank you for praying – 38 people – 55 bags – 2 flights – one train ride – and one scary bus ride and voila – 48 hours later we arrives safe and sound! The team experienced the first wedding of child of mine grads in delhi monday night en route – and apart from the 50ish degree heat in the church the service was amazing. thank you Lord! the kids welcomed us with open arms last night and put on a patented performance in the new schoolhouse – they love Jesus and their joyful energy is contagious. Everyomne danced and celebrated right alongside them. The team hit Shanti running this morning and we just wrapped up a 15 hour first day – devotions/sharing and prayer at 6:15 – digging trenches for water lines – painting- prepping the chapel – paving stones – and yes two hours trying to get a 50 year ld cement mixer resurrected for a big pour for the new water cisterns tomorrow – will let you know how that goes as jury still out :) Just finished up a great prayer and sharing time and it is time hit the hay and get ready to see what He has planned for us tomorrow. Thank you for your prayers – a passage that jumped from todays devotional and prayer time today i would like to share with you: Ps 37 The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way; though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the Lord upholds his hand. I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children begging for bread. He is ever lending generously, and his children become a blessing. Please continue to pray for spiritual and physical protection please – we have some sore backs and yes – our first case of delhi belly – lots of moving parts and the enemy of our soul would love nothing more than to stir things up.
