We as Christians are called to love and care for one another, So why is there so much dissension and pinching in the bag among the body of Christ today. The greatest commandment in life is to love and forgive others because God loves and forgives us. It is about giving to others what we ourselves have received. There is only one commandment You shall love the Lord your God and your neighbor as yourself The commandment is challenging and demanding, because this applies to every single day and every single person who crosses our path. This also applies to the person we do not like and those we do not think deserve it. This commandment about neighborly love has no manual, but often we know from ourselves and our ability to put ourselves in someone elses place, what the other needs. Love your neighbor as God loves you When Christians seek to do good, it is not to look better in the eyes of God or to be rewarded with a place in heaven. Its actually the opposite: God already loves people. God has given us life through creation. He has given us forgiveness and love by coming to the world through Jesus. Therefore, we have plenty to share. We must not be uncharitable to earn the love of God. The sequence is reversed. In the Bible, Jesus explains it this way: love one another as God has loved you! SHOULD WE NOT LOVE OR BROTHER AND SISTERS IN CHRIST IN THE SAME WAY, AS JESUS LOVE US?
