We as black folks have a specific talent as a group... We are top notch ANALYSTS We will ANALYZE the HELL out of our problems.. have meeting after meeting after meeting about what we Gonna do THIS TIME without a SINGLE PLAN OF ACTION going forward.. Well those days are over We have had a very long and a very productive day ... I have noticed that some of the anger and rage following the demonstrations calling attention to some of the excessive use of force by police officers vs unarmed African American men has died down... I have also noticed that some of the same anger directed at the perpetrators of neighborhood violence, such as murders right across the streets from our Community centers where children congregate has also gone a little quiet... And this is the way it will be until the NEXT tragedy.... I have also noticed that the same kind of outrage hasnt been expressed over the senseless killings of the two NYC police officers... Have we not just said that ALL Lives matter?.... I pose these thoughts because we as a community are always willing to express that outrage AFTER the crap hits the fan AFTER another innocent life is lost to senseless violence in our neighborhood AFTER another unarmed youth has been killed AFTER innocent cops are gunned down AFTER is too late... and the NEXT time is ALWAYS just around the corner waiting to land on YOUR DOORSTEP. Well VERY SOON we are going to have our chance to do MORE than just talk We are going to have our chance to DO something BEFORE the next tragedy occurs... I am fully well aware that many of us out there arent willing to have the conversations that are necessary To DO the things that arent easy To come to a meeting of the minds with those we think we are so different from To think OUTSIDE the narrow box of ONLY OUR EXPERIENCE to grasp that of another human being... But we are going to present some clear and precise, well thought out PRODUCTIVE opportunities of ACTION for those who TRULY CARE about CHANGE to BE A PART OF THE SOLUTION...We are DONE with the useless RHETORIC of the last 35 years in this town. It will be put up or shut up time.. Many folks on both sides of the issue are telling us it cant be done, America is too far gone.. The divide is too wide...Well I guess were gonna find out... Stay tuned P.S. On a personal note: I Dont have a clue as to what cant be done.. God is full of so many miracles in my life right now...
