We, as screenwriters have always been told register your scripts - TopicsExpress

We, as screenwriters have always been told register your scripts with the WGA, doubly, register your scripts with the Library of Congress. Some of my scripts have been registered, some havent. I find it, all these protective measures to claim copyright for intellectual properties a bit overkill, and a bit insecure. If somebody is going to steal your script, steal your idea, then theyre going to steal it. I have some ongoing issues with plagiarism and copycat writers who think they can duplicate what I do. Most credible writers know how difficult it is to write a high-budget Hollywood script, get it produced, and get distribution. I put a lot of clips from my scripts out here on the Internet for the purpose of PR, Marketing, and to attract investors for my Brand image without losing a second sleep about who may steal my dialogue, my intellectual properties. Quentin Tarantino isnt the only one who has had a major scandal in a western screenplay that leaked, and used that incident to come right back and use it to his advantage. Powerful stuff free speech and challenging content. (Sage Sweetwater) deadline/2014/12/sony-hack-cyber-terrorists-win-1201330751/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook
