We at PeopleSense are looking for “Business Development Assistant” with a Leading client in Not-For-Profit Organization. Job Title: Executive – Business Development Assistant Location: Andheri-Mumbai (Western Line) Reports to: Business Head Working hours: Monday to Saturday: 9 am to 5 pm Client Information: Client is a path-breaking social enterprise - a u/s 25 not-for-profit company established in January 2009. Shop for Change has received financial support from large international donors like European Union, ICCO, Christain Aid as well Indian donors like NABARD, Sir Ratan Tata Trust, Forbes Foundation. Our first fair trade certified product was cotton where in we tied up with large brands in mainstream markets like Raymond (Color Plus), Shoppers Stop & Anita Dongre. Subsequently, we successfully launched fair trade food (primarily processed food items like honey, dry fruits, tea, coffee, jams) and jute (e.g. branded bags) products via the Corporate Gifting market signing up some of India’s topmost corporations like Aditya Birla group, L&T, DHL, Thomas Cook, Deloitte, Axis Bank group to name a few. Shop for Change is run by a team of proven performers who have worked in leadership roles in the private sector in the past. It has been regularly covered in mainstream media since inception. The position Having proven its concept and attracted significant industry, media, and consumer awareness, Client has developed and launched a highly strategic and focused plan to becoming a self-sustaining social enterprise. The organisation seeks a bright, motivated, individual who will carry out research-driven outreach in a targeted manner Job responsibilities Enable Client to reach out to prospective buyers of its fair trade jute products: • Identify the top industry segments to be targeted • Identify top companies along with the decision maker for each of the segments • Finalise the list of prospects • Reach out to the prospects (telephone, face to face) • Submit proposals and quotations • Follow up with prospects as required to conclude orders and for repeat orders In addition, the incumbent will be expected to support such other marketing / sales activities as the organisation deems necessary such as participating at trade shows / corporate exhibitions etc. Essentials • Unimpeachable integrity & commitment to Client’s social mission • Any Graduate / BBA / MBA. • Excellent English communication skills – both written & oral • Proficient with Computers (MS Office, Internet, Email) • Sound planning and organising skills • Self starter, hands-on with an openness to perform variety of tasks at any level to achieve necessary results • Ability to work within timelines set and achieves short and long term goals.
