We came to Disneyland at clearly the wrong moment. The Christmas parade just ended and half a million people (might be an exaggeration, but it sure did feel that way) were leaving the park as a quarter of a million were entering. We got caught up like salmon in the stream. These situations are stressful due to young kids, food on the floor, dreaded ankle cutting strollers, and the normal unaware humans walking around. We are no experts, but we do have a an that we put in place. Everyone surrounds Apollo. I was handling him, Ry was on his left (making the peace sign), Cassie was in front, and Manny is in the back. That way we are keeping him from getting stepped on, tail pulled, and touched by everyone. Hes never phased. His reward for navigating through successfully? A ride on Pirates of the Caribbean! :)
