We can draw down heaven by using a special tool given to all human - TopicsExpress

We can draw down heaven by using a special tool given to all human beings. In fact, this tool is so powerful; it sets us apart from all animals created. Adam was the first to use it and subsequently all his children did likewise. Some abused its use and others elevated it. Utilising this tool in the right way erects an impenetrable shield around the user: a close relationship with the Mightiest of the Mighty in the entire universe. I am speaking here about using speech to place ourselves in a powerful position, in that we become friends of the Creator. What a lofty relationship?! Can we attain that? Simple! All it takes is that when we are alone we talk aloud in our own words to the Almighty. We take time to contemplate on our personal situations, our own difficulties, and then in solitude we use the occasion to pour out our hearts to our Father in heaven. (See Matthew 6: 5-6.) We break up before him in humbleness of heart (1 Peter 5: 6) calling on his name and he will be there to listen to our every cry (Psalm 34:15), if we do not harbour iniquity in our hearts (Psalm 66: 16- 20). We must bring to the fore what our inner thoughts are and air them before our God. He knows them before we call, but he wants us to utilise this wonderful gift: speech which comes from within us to express ourselves, to get to know him by using conversation. This was what the Prophets and Patriarchs of old did (Psalm 61, Genesis 28: 11), this was what Yeshua (Jesus) did too. And the Scriptures encourage us to follow their examples. O when we think of Yeshua’s prayer life and his relationship with his Father we should desire the same, and we can have it. Notice that on many occasions he went by himself away from the crowd and his disciples to pray. (See Mark 1: 35, Mark 6: 45-46, Mark 14: 32 – 44, Luke 4: 42, Luke 5: 16, Luke 6: 12) One of his favourite spots was the Mount of Olives (Luke 22: 39). We should find a place away from our regular surroundings, if we can, perhaps in a park, under that tree behind our house, in that shed in our garden, wherever we will not be distracted and just confide in our God. Actually, he will never betray our secrets. Learn to confide in him instead of people and in the process we will develop a close relationship with him. Let us get into the habit of telling him everything. Hold nothing back. Pour out your heart like water, in praise, thanksgiving, requests, your achievements, your failures, your regrets, your misdeeds, your conduct, your envies and jealousies, your faults, your yearnings, your desires, your pride, your pains, your sorrows, your blessings, your distance from him, your future plans… Somebody stop me please! O how wonderful you are my God, that a sinner such as I can come before you, holding a conversation with you that I could not dare hold with anyone one on earth. How I thank you my God. You are my provider, my healer, my friend, my counselor, my defender, my ROCK, on you alone I shall depend. Thank you for anointing my heart! Hallelujah! My friends, I urge you, do not neglect allocating a special time with God every day. I know that it will not be easy, because sometimes the enemy of our souls or our own evil inclinations might block us, or our burdens overwhelm us and very often we cannot find the words to pray. But at that time cry out and tell your Father about it. (See Romans 8: 26). Tell him that you want to talk to him, but your way is blocked. Ask him to put words into your mouth so that you may speak. Open your mouth so that he may fill it (Psalm 81: 10) with laughter and joy (Psalm 126:2). Dearest friends, pray every day alone, in the quietness of your chosen spot, pour out before God, seek him in every way, for every situation. Trust him with your life. (UNEDITED.
