We can talk about the first element because that would be quite a discussion. unbridled or government influenced seemingly unbridled, but then it cant be a neat equation because it begs another one. So here is a quick equation to open a discussion. Whenever dis-enrollment is brought up there is ALWAYS a response, a mouth falling open Why do they do that?!!!? response when people hear about a family or person dis-enrolled. It is still a shock~ and when the families were original signers, or traditionals, language speakers, dance captains, first tribal chairs - that shock is followed by something like a WTF, excuse my language. I do not mean to offend anyone by bringing up dis-enrollment because I know very well that Im a descendant of immigrants who FOLLOW indigenous leaders and know my place and my place is not to judge on Facebook. Some of my first mentors and kith are part of tribes who dis-enroll now. This equation I repost because some of you Facebook Friends might find it useful. Im sure that tribes that dis-enroll are quite familiar and used to reactions and questions, and those will be settled by courts and tribal councils. I am sure they are familiar with and have had to respond to the heartbreak of families disenrolled. To end this, a good friend in a casual conversation shared that she got a call from her tribe and for a moment her heart stopped and she thought Crap! Am I getting disenrolled?!!! She is smart, young, and a leader and I shall leave it at that
