We celebrate the 2 time All-Star infielder from the California Angels, Dave Chalk. Chalk will be 64 tomorrow. Born in Del-Rio Texas and plays his high school sports for the Knights of Kimball High School in Dallas. He plays his college baseball for the University of Texas-Arlington and then transfers to the University of Texas. He is the 10th overall pick by the Angels in 1972. His 1st professional team would be the Shreveport Captains. He breaks in with the Angels in 1973. He is named an American League All-Star in 1974 and 1975. He plays for the Halos until 1978. In 1979, he plays 9 games for the Texas Rangers and 66 games for the Oakland As. In 1980, he signs with the Royals. He does not appear in 1980 ALCS, but does appear in the World Series. He draws a walk, steals and scores, in his only appearances. His final season would be with the Royals in 1981.
