We concluded our meeting this evening and have some information to report. FIRST, we are PLEASED to host a fundraiser on 12/3 with Chris and Fannie as our special guests and speakers. To reserve your space please contact our Team Member, Diane Francis @ 928-551-0269. Fundraiser dinner to be held from 6pm - 9pm @ $50 per plate. Come and join us, if not, invite others who may be interested. Now, on to the updates from this evening. We briefly touched on Myron MacLaughlins appeal, which has been filed according to information we received and pending decision from the Navajo Nation Supreme Court. From those in attendance tonight, it was the consensus that Russell Begaye should have been disqualified based on Maclaughlins case. BUT, we will WAIT for the outcome of the appeal. The Chinle Agency group is planning another Navajo Nation Wide Coordinators meeting to occur within the next week. A coordinator from our group will be in contact with other agency coordinators to schedule and hold this meeting. Agenda items to include: non-profit bylaws/mission statement/etc, resolution effort for all 110 chapters, and referendum initiatives. THE BALL IS ROLLING, and WE CANNOT LOSE MOMENTUM. Tonight, Chinle group finalized the draft for the fluency resolution that will be provided to all coordinators to begin the 110 chapter approval effort. This final copy will be ready tomorrow. The Chinle Team will be responsible for presenting and asking for approval from all 16 chapters within our area. #gochinleteam Mark your calenders for December 15th, 2014. There will be an All Navajo Nation Chapters Officals Meeting that begins @ 9am. Location: Gallup Community Center. This would be a great time to lobby and talk with your chapter officials. They will be gathered in one location. Planning ahead for the New Year: Chinle Group is looking forward to the Day after Valentines Day, Feb. 15th. We are tentatively planning a Social Song and Dance for Everyone. More details to come as we plan for this event. But KEEP US IN MIND.
