We didnt get lost and the many rivers were quite small, so there were no bigger rivercrossings. We looked for the bridge over the bigger river in the beginning. We walked at about 900 m height a lot of the time, because below that vegetation made it harder to move. We walked south, towards Store Namsvatnet. Some parts were very rocky and some parts had a lot of swamps. But generally it was easy to navigate and easy to walk. Autumncolours are starting to paint nature already and we enjoyed the newcoming colours. Weather was ok, not too cold or too rainy. It was exciting to move without a path to follow. You have to be more aware of the environment then. We found small animalpaths that we followed. They know where its easy to walk. We saw many reindeers and they were very curious about us. Funny abd beautiful animals! I will miss them. It seems like we have seen reindeers almost every day now for three months. They are everywhere! We didnt see any other big animals, maybe next time. Birds of prey of course, we have seen many of those on our trip, of all sizes. And many times have they circled above us, spoting Bilbo as an easy meal. Luckily no bird ever came close, although I got nervous a few times. Eagles take these dogs easily and Bilbo doesnt seem to be aware of threats from above. At one point we saw this odd circle of stones. Clearly made by people and not recently. Wonder what was the purpose? We found a nice little cabin by the lake where we were going to be picked up the next day. Viermahytta. An open and cheap cabin with all that you need. And that is mostly a fireplace and dry wood so you can warm yourself and dry clothes.
