We dont want the Thanksgiving weekend to pass without letting you know how much we thank God for the members, regular attenders, visitors and friends of Shelby Bible Church. You remind us how to give and serve through your continual giving and serving of yourselves and your possessions; you help extend our boundaries by your caring and compassionate hearts for the needy, and you encourage us through your love for God and each other throughout the year. And all of this because of Jesus - who can take selfish, self-centered people and transform them into His image. We are grateful for each of you throughout the year and want to take this time to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We look forward to this Sunday at Shelby as we start off the Christmas season, honor the widows and widowers and consider a new associate pastor for Shelby. Thank you for your faithful attendance and participation in our church. We are praying for you as you consider and prepare any questions you need answered before you can feel good about your vote for Pastor Chris Cox. We look forward to our time together on Sunday evening. I know you will enjoy this special time of year as we continue our thanks for all Hes done, and begin to reflect upon the amazing miracle of our Emmanuel coming into the world in the flesh, with the ultimate goal of reaching those weighed down with sins and burdens. It is often hard to reel in my thoughts during this crazy, busy time of year, but when I do, I remember again why He came. To be our Wonderful Counselor, the Prince of Peace, the Mighty God....and our Savior. He came to offer us a new life, adopt us into a new family and give us a new home! And all of this makes it possible to reflect His image. We look forward to enjoying this special time with you.
