We enjoyed a lovely trip away in Portrush on Thursday and Friday - TopicsExpress

We enjoyed a lovely trip away in Portrush on Thursday and Friday with Ross being able to do the normal things all kids his age should do. He spent a fortune in Phils amusements and the Whacky Workshop. (His favourite machine was the money changer!) We even had a penalty football competition on the beach with mummy in goals 🙈. We have explained to Ross that he is starting on a new stage of treatment and he will be getting special milk (anaesthetic) on Monday and will be getting chemotherapy on Wednesday and Friday. We arent going to tell him about Fridays needle into the muscle in his thigh until then as he will worry about it all week. He asked us last night will he lose his fluffy hair again. We have been told that he will but we just told him sure its only hair, it lets us see that the medicine is working. He got a bit upset at this, suppose hes just fed up with it all now. He asks me everyday is it long enough for gel yet? His daddy told him that it all means he is getting closer to being 100% better and would be able to go back to school soon. Not sure if this is a good incentive for Ross or not lol! Once again many thanks for all of your support and prayers. Its hard to believe it was 6 months on Thursday that Ross was diagnosed, though to be honest most of it has been a blur. Claire xx
