We feel it is necessary to address the unfounded lies and misinformation individuals have spread about Jades Rescue. Unfortunately, their comments affect our animals, and our ability to fulfill our mission statement. To give some background these same individuals were asked to leave Jades Rescue because their actions came into direct conflict with our mission statement. Because they did not agree with their removal from Jades they have decided to retaliate against Jades with lies. They have gone to multiple animal organizations and spread the lies. This is very serious because the animal welfare community in our region is close-knit, and this impacts our ability to collaborate with other animal welfare organizations. In addition, these particular individuals who consider themselves animal lovers are directly impacting our animals with their statements. Their actions do not appear to support their claims that they care about animals. They have made statements such as do not donate to Jades, that they are concerned for they welfare of our animals. Including most recently statements concerning Shaq. Shaq will have the best care in the world thanks to our wonderful community. These statements directly affect our animals, and are not taken lightly by our organization. We have sought legal advice on these statements, and because they affect our organizations ability to conduct business it is considered slander. However, we would prefer not to spend valuable donor resources on attorney fees, but on our animals. We are responsible for the well being of our animals, and feel as stewards of this organizations to do the right things for our animals, including using donations on our animals not on an attorney. Jades always appreciates our followers feedback and would like to ask you if we should seek legal action. Again we would prefer to use our resources on our animals, but their statements can have a significant impact on the future of our organization. We want to keep it ALL about the animals, evidently there are others who have revealed their true colors.
