We gotta problem, Huston...... This is called special bolt 6X36 in the Honda micro fiche on a CB 750 K Honda. Its part number 90049-300-000. Its function seems to be to hold the head of the engine to the cylinders before the stud nuts are torqued down. I noticed an oil leak on my engine yesterday and discovered that this bolt had risen out of its hole. Probably due to vibration of some kind. To screw it back down into place by the manual I have to pull the engine, disassemble the cam cradles and pull the cam towers. LOTS of work. Does any one have an idea to screw this bolt back down into its hole without tearing the engine out? The specific problem is finding a very thin something like a really thin pair of Vice Grip pliers to try to turn the shank in enough to use a thin 10mm open wrench to tighten it. Theres also a Phillips head cut in the top of the nut head but that is not an option unless the engine is pulled and dissembled. Has anyone had to deal with this before? The bolt is square in the center of the picture.
