We had a great evening on Thursday with a British Korea Society - TopicsExpress

We had a great evening on Thursday with a British Korea Society reception at the House of Lords hosted by Baroness Perry of Southwark and an opportunity beforehand to take a brief tour of both Houses of Parliament. It was good to meet up with some of you from this facebook group who are members of the society and see the faces behind the names! (including Sinae Hong, BKS Treasurer, Chris Hollands and BKS Committee Member Jim Thomson). Cathy Kim, BKS Secretary was doing a great job behind the camera, so we should see some photos on here soon and Sylvia Park, BKS Events Secretary did a grand job of organising everybody. Warwick Morris, BKS Executive Chairman, led the speeches, thanking Baroness Perry and introducing His Excellency Sungnam Lim, RoK Ambassador and Sir John Stanley MP. Ambassador Lims address included some very interesting facts about the wide range of activities jointly undertaken between our two countries as well as a very encouraging increase in the trading figures. Attendance ranged across all ages, backgrounds and occupations, making for a very interesting networking event! Dont forget, if you would like to participate in BKS networking and/or events you need to be a member of the Society - so why not join now? Membership runs from January to December - but if you join after 31 October membership runs until December the following year. Corporate memberships are welcomed as well as individual memberships.
