We had a great summer road trip, first we went to Hawkinsville GA to see where Waynes great-great-great..... Grandfather was buried. Then we went to Gatlinburg TN had a great time. Kept saying we were going tubing but every time someone told us how cold the water was we reconsidered. I added a pictue of a tree trunk carving that was really cute. Went to the Biltmore Estate, walked the gardens, did some wine taisting. They have made a lot of improvements since the last time I was there. Then we headed home through Helen GA had some Bratwurst, Schnitzel with spaetzle. Still didnt go tubing, water still too cold. Oh, I forgot the salt shaker museum(we didnt go in but Wayne just had to have his picture taken there). We also ran across the Bushs baked bean museum, didnt eat any baked beans but it really was an interesting family story of adaptation to the world events unfolding around them. They made it through recessions, WWI, depression in 1929, having their fields flooded in the 1930s when the rivers were damed up for electrical power plants then WWII. It was a great trip, if we saw something interesting we stopped and checked it out.
