We had a pelican rescue last night. As we went past the Miller Family Preserve I saw a pelican hanging by his wing wrapped up in fishing line. He looked lifeless and I assumed to be deceased. We decided to back up and make sure. Much to my surprise he was still living but very tired and weak. We cut him loose with the help of everyone onboard and placed him in a container to rest until we got back to the dock. Once we got back, we took him to the emergency vet and he should make a full recovery. Thanks for all the help and Thanks to P.W. Fenton for getting the photos.
