We had a private guide for the day in Honduras, this is one beautiful place, there is no middle class, the mayor lives in a palace while the common person is in deep poverty. Typical! Roads are in awful shape and the deep divide between rich and poor is shameful. We saw children looking on the streets for food...this is a major diving destination for the entire world with its coral reefs and lush cool mountains against some of the most beautiful water. The people there love America and our guide tells us their economy depends on the u.s. economy. Gas is over $6 a gallon and it is down from the 8$ plus, the resorts are magnificent. ..the people are precious. ..I will go back! There are above water and dozens of sunken ships to dive in and wonder through with stories of pirates and spanish galleons ! They have a Spanish area french and mostly Caribbean people, most people there speak a dialect of Spanish with french and English mixed in there. Look at all the pics...exotic flowers, birds, animals. It was about 70 degrees up in the mountains on Thursday.
