We had moved the bus to Follows camp on the East fork of the San - TopicsExpress

We had moved the bus to Follows camp on the East fork of the San Gabriel river in the San Gabriel mountains of Southern California. 14 miles of road in we had 75 families living in a camp ground with restaurant that had been a gold mining camp that had been a native American favorite for longer than we know. Someone abandoned 5 Chihuahuas about 10 miles up the desolate mountain road there. All attempts to rescue them could only net two of the five abandoned dogs. I had expressed my desire that we wait until we can afford to clothe feed and doctor our selves and can do as much for a pet before we get any pets. Then John told me about the 5 dogs and he had two he wanted to place with a family only they couldnt be separated. I knew my heart was not able to stand my ground so I left the bar. 2 days later up the steps of the bus comes Amy holding two Chihuahuas and I immediately caved. I named all five though 3 didnt make it. Music was their family and they are named for notes. A, B, C, D, and E. Db survived as ACE were snuffed. Dogs are the choice for many sprits return. Yet dogs can become dolphins or whatever merits their wish. So we received D and B. D is still with us now 18 years and pulls me into running on our walks. Bes heart failed. We got 3 more rescues. Bree Patches and Peppy. Two ferrets. And my teeth fell out. Oh well. I smile with the best of them anyway. Happy really no mater what my face is up too. My confession.
