We have a Public Safety Diver Advanced Wreck course coming up July 19, staring at noon. The student will start at the surface of the lake, at the buoy, with a blacked-out mask. The student will be guided to the top of a submerged structure. After attaching a reeled line to the exterior of the structure, the student will enter and search the interior of the structure for a possible drowning victim (simulated by a mannequin). Once the victim is located, the student will make his/her exit from the submerged structure, disconnecting the reeled line & signalling intent to surface. The student will then be guided to the surface by a safety diver. This is an advanced skill, and should not be attempted without proper training and supervision. Safety divers will be inside & outside the structure during the class. This class was developed to simulate a Public Safety Diver having to search for a possible survivor inside a recently sunken boat/vehicle/aircraft. Entry into the class is limited to those PSDs that have completed the blacked-out pool session, including the underwater maze. Interested divers should contact Kyle for further information.
