We have a bit of an announcement to make. Well... a fairly major announcement. To cut to the chase: Burning Idols have decided to go our separate ways and will not be playing any more shows past the end of this year. Currently our last booked gig is Octoberfest in Basingstoke, though others may arise. Weve made this amicable decision between us without any great sadness or dispute. There are a number of factors, mostly involving the developments and successes of the four of us as individuals, which have put us in a position where we have been turning down lots of gig offers and even pulling out of a couple of shows. Something weve really not liked having to do. Weve had an amazing five years or so, played so many awesome gigs with truly great bands and made lots of new friends. There are too many people to thank individually for making it such a special journey, from those that supported us and put us on line-ups right from the beginning to all the friends and fans whove turned up and enjoyed our gigs along the way. So heres a big THANK YOU to all of you. Anny, Dan, Dave and Stu will still be around and involved in various other projects such as One Step Too Late, Numbskull Action, Three Millimeter Bleed and almost certainly more to come. We shall follow this announcement with some dedications and nostalgia for the next few months as we quietly walk away into the sunset… BIG LOVE from Burning Idols Anny, Dan, Dave and Stu. xxx
