We have a bunch of vandals in the senate. They insist on new spending and want to keep existing spending at the same rate. The terms of trade are down. The government has less income than predicted. Labor left us with an enormous debt and yet any attempts to cut spending is blocked by the economic illiterates and saboteurs in the senate. They are blocking any attempt to restore the budget. To steer us onto the road to recovery. Labors motive is selfish. No surprises there. Themselves above what is good for the country. They want to go to the next election with the economy in a worse shape to the one they left this government to fix. This they will then use as an election platform to say this government worsened the economy. What else are they going to campaign on? Shorten doesnt have any policies except reinstating the carbon tax, the mining tax, no boat turn backs and no TPVs. They support any program that wastes money. They support higher electricity prices. SPEND SPEND SPEND is their motto. So what are the cross benches doing? Yes the senate opposition are a bunch of vandals and economy destroyers. Put it this way; they only way to rein in debt is to cut spending or raise taxes. They government brought in a budget that covered these areas modestly but the longer the budget is left unchecked, the bigger the pain will be later. GREECE anyone?
