,We have a couple more CC Foster Fails to post but this is just too cool to not pass on! A year ago December 1st, 2013, A dog named Zeb came into our organization and our lives. His story was recently posted on FB In early December. Struck by a vehicle at high speed and gravely injured, Zeb had a massive surgery and went into the home of Sue and Mark Hartung for intensive in-home care and recovery. Sue had Zeb for an entire year and their bond was like no other, helping him learn to walk again, she was his lifeline in every sense of the word. The time had come for the two to part though, as Cindy, Charlie and Dominic Braatz met Zeb this past December and they fell in love! We knew that this was the forever family Zeb always deserved. Sue tries hard not to fail at fostering, so she can help the next dog who needs her. As a nurse, she has a special skill set, especially for medically challenged animals. She takes this very seriously and pours her generous heart into caring for these pets, all while knowing she will be cutting the physical and emotional ties when they are healed. Its nothing short of noble. So we made a visit last week to Zeb and his new family and had a little party at his new Waterloo home. What happened next is on this video ( above this post) and gives you a visual that these animals will always remember the ones who loved them first....their fosters. We want to acknowledge the work that ALL foster homes do for the animals they assist, from FurFun to Dogs Forever, SAINTS Cat Rescue to Last Hope and so many others. It is a job that has perks every single day! So thank you Sue for not failing though I admit, I wanted you too! Congratulations to Zebs amazing new family, Cindy, Charlie, Dominic and Zebs new brother Avery! Your love for Zeb is inspiring and you will always be part of our family here at CC! You adopted us too! All for the love of Zeb.
