just have to share this special memory that came to mind this afternoon as I was driving by the cotton fields in Alabama. Took me back to my first trip down in here in fall 1993. I was pregnant with Josh and Caleb was just over a year, we took the trip with my mom and dad. I worked at a plastic plant and we left when I worked off at 7 am. I work up on I65 with mom about to rear end a semi, when we stopped for breakfast at Loretta Lynns something or another, I refused to let her drive again. Sleep or no sleep it was safer me driving. Well when we hit Alabama and the cottons fields mom turned into a little kid at Christmas, You see us KY folks hadnt been south of TN and never seen anything like that. I had to pull over and let her pick cotton. She kept that cotton. When we cleaned out some belonging follow their deaths, we found that cotton. such a sweet memory, sorry for long post but compelled to share.
