We have a new Vancouver Special renovation on the drawing boards. Were calling it The Facelift as the owners had already renovated the interior of their Vancouver Special, and were looking for a new siding design to update the exterior (hence the name). We’ve transformed the look of the house, while still celebrating the iconic Special ‘look’, with simple colour blocking and the addition of some dramatic materials. We opted for a bold material palette of corrugated steel siding, merlot-coloured powder coated steel plate siding (an ode to weathering steel), and white-washed horizontal cedar siding.
