We have a problem with one of our garage doors opening on its own during the night. Weve already had to change a receiver on the other doors motor. One of the causes we found out, was that a TV remote blaster (not necessarily our own but any within the vicinity) can change infra-red signals - like even those from an aircon remote - into radio waves that can then be transmitted to any other receiver with the correct frequency. Does anyone have a secret formula for protecting garage door receivers from these alien signals??? ....or is the only solution to keep changing the garage door receivers in the hope of finding one that will stay closed???
