We have all been there and had experiences where we feel that God must be distant from us as he cannot be present and let all of these happen to us; when we feel lost, hopeless and helpless and the sadness literally gives us physical pains all over. The devil wants us to feel like this all of the time because that is his zone of operation and dominion! The disciples felt exactly like this after the death of Christ whom they hoped was their true Messiah and on their way to Emmaus, Christ appears to them in the throes of that sorrow and when they invited him to their home, he broke the bread and revealed himself to them! LK 24: 13-35. The priest relayed his own personal struggle at this time when he not only lost a 45 year old cousin who was considered the light of their extended family only last week but also lost two of his sisters who died in a car crash on their way to his funeral!! He is going through a literal hell at this time and knew he needed to usher Christ into his heart so that he can reveal himself to him and heal him in ways that no mortal or material thing ever could. We were devastated for him. If you are like him and so many others walking through a literal hell at this time, invoke his name and cry to Him from the throes of your tribulation and he would do what only he knows how to do; heal your soul, your mind and your body! Amen! Do not give the devil, the tempter, cause to celebrate at your expense. . . Shut him up this instant by calling on the name above all names; the name that subdues every force and counter force in existence! Wishing you a peaceful, healthful and glorious new week! Amen!
