We have all heard about the employees etc that were cut back etc - TopicsExpress

We have all heard about the employees etc that were cut back etc at the Paulding County Hospitol, and here is my experiance with PCH. Keep in mind, its not ALL the employees, as there are a few in registration, radiology etc i do trust.. I have been sick for about 2 weeks now with this nastry resp infection. Yesterday morning, for the first time in my life, i told my wife we have to go now to the ER, like right now and quickly. It was like i was breathing, but getting no oxygen. For insurance purposes, we headed for Hicksville, but as we got outside of town i told Dorrean we gotta go to PHS right now, as i cant breath and feel like i am about to pass out. Away she went in a hurry. After getting to the ER, i walked in bent over gasping for air. An hr and a half later (at least) i was givein a breathing treatment and adivan to calm everything down. AN HR AND A HALF LATER)... Kelly in radiology did great, as expected. In the ER however, i seen 2 differant docs do to shift change (i did not know that tho).. both asked me the same exact questions as the other had done. 1 nurse attempted to put an IV line in, and stuck me 4 times in the same hand. She would not try the other hand as she said she prefers the right side of the bed. She was evan on her knees tryin to get the line in. She finally gave up. Nurse 2 came in and said the 1st nurse needed the training, so she sent her to do it. ARE YOU FRIGGIN KIDDIN ME??? Nurse #2 attempted to put the line in my forearm on the other arm. Once again, failed. She then attepted it between my little finger and ring finger. After a while of digging, she finally got it. After the IV line was removed, i had a lump on the top of my hand that looked like i had a golf ball under my skin. Never have i experianced such issue in my life (and i have had many many Lines) put in over the years. All the others have been a little stick and in in about 3 seconds.... Thru out the whole experiance, my wife finally blew a nut and went head huntin, and that never happens!!! I am usually the hardass, not My wife... My thoughts are as follows. If you are an ER nurse and you still need training for a simple IV line, your rear end does not belong in an EMERGENCY ROOM, setting! As far as the docs~ If you want to walk around like your #@&$ is better than everyone else and act like you dont care, seek life elswhere!! But, where ever you go, learn how to speak english before you practice in my country.... As far as employees that were fired or such, maybe you got rid of the right people for the job!!!! In short, WHAT A FRIGGIN JOKE!!!!! Like i said, i am not talkin about all employees. Kelly did a hell of a job, as she always does. As far as the rest that was in the room with me, seek life elsewhere. If you need to practice stickin someone, stop by my house and grab a tmto and practice on that rather than use a patient in the friggin ER as a practice Dumby!! In an ER, you have to be on the top of your game, or someone dies. PERIOD!!! An ER is not a place for people who are not at the top of their game. A day later and you guessed it, I am still pissed off. NO FRIGGIN EXCUSE!!! In the last year i have dealt with some serious dumbass people that obviously dont belong in the positions they are in, and it makes me sick. The bill should be pro rated for the amount of skills the employee has. But then again, such people should not evan be in the system to begin with. Once again, WHAT A FRIGGIN JOKE!!!! Rant is over now, but just as pissed off as i have been for the last 24 hrs!!! Thank you. B
