We have already had quite a few of our sea swimmers complete some amazing swims around the World this Summer. We hope to feature some of them here throughout July and August so please send us in any information, pictures etc... that you have. Were starting today with Dave Farrell, a former Sandycove SC member who played polo and swam in the Leinster open sea races for many years and moved to the US from Dublin 2 years ago. The 8 bridges swim is a series of open water races in the Hudson River, New York. On seven consecutive days there is a stage between two bridges of the Hudson, each stage is between 15-20 miles. Dave swam stage 4 which was 15.2 miles from the Newburgh bridge to the Bear Mountain bridge. There were 12 swimmers on the stage. Congratulations to Dave who won that stage setting a new mens record of 4hrs 12mins!
