We have already started getting ready for the annual Houston crawfish boil this Saturday. I dropped off a bunch of gear at Rons house yesterday, and the yard looks amazing. The grass is nice and green. Weve had 8 straight years of no rain, so keep your fingers crossed. 30% chance of rain is forecast. If you have an easy tent to put up and are getting there at beginning, bring it just in case! Make sure you Evite so we know how many bugs we need. We are set for 300 pounds right now. I think some of the moms are going to collect on Saturday and make pizza run for kids. Mushrooms, small red potatoes, onions, garlic, thawed smoked sausage (cheap is just fine), and sweet corn on the cob (smaller pieces ideal) are always welcome. I usually keep a pot boiling just for the sides, so they come in handy. I have enough crab boil and seasonings (including bulk cayenne). BYOB (booze, beer, bimbos or barbiturates)
