We have an exciting position open in the Chronic Disease Prevention and Control Division at the Boston Public Health Commission for Senior Program Manager. The Senior Program Manager provides overall management for a portfolio of initiatives and projects within the Division (that may change over time). The focus of the Division is obesity and chronic disease prevention, with a priority on addressing racial, ethnic, and other inequities in health outcomes through policy, systems and environmental approaches in diverse sectors of the community. The manager leads initiatives that focus on child and youth-serving sectors, including in early childcare and after-school programs and provides division-wide leadership to support healthy eating initiatives, including decreasing consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages. The manager also will be a leader in developing initiatives that support control of hypertension and diabetes and will provides planning and operational support to additional projects as team member.
