We have been having trouble getting anything taken care of in this small town. The problems all started about a month ago a group of kids severely beat an middle aged man and left him for dead. They had to air lift him to lubbock 100 miles away so they could try and save his life. Well after these kids beat this guy half to death they came over to my cousins friends and started bragging about what they had done. My cousin may not be the best kid but hes not into all that so he called the police and reported them( they never even looked into it.) Well after he did that the kids he told on found out what he had done so they got a group of kids and came to my cousins house and tried to best him up in his driveway. My cousin grabbed a metal rod to protect himself ( remember this is in his driveway) he ended up hitting 2 of the kids with the pipe and put them in the hospital. All my cousin was trying to do was protect himself from this gang of kids that were at his house threatening him and his mom. He attack them he waited for them to come after him. Which since it is his property i would have done what was necessary to protect me and my family. Well one of the kids he put in the hospital decided they were going to press charges against my cousin. The police decided they were going to arrest my cousin for assault. When these kids came to his house on his personal land and all he did was protect himself.well a couple weeks went by and everything seemed back to normal. But around 8-8:30 last night these hoodlums that have been causing all these problems came back to his house with 5 guys. Knocked him out in his driveway threw him in the back of their truck and drive him away. When he came to they were all standing over him beating him to death.he managed to get away and start running. They had taken him 1 1\2 mikes from his home and dumped him in a field. He called the police as he was running through fields from these guys and they ended up tracking his gps and finding him. Well after they picked him up and found out what had happened they decided they didnt want to make s report about it until my aunt started raising hell at the station there. They took the report but proceeded to tell them they had no leads or anything after my cousin told them who it was and what kind of truck they were in. Still they say they say they have no leads. And after the report and them saying they cant do anything the told my cousin its your fault for coming outside to see who it was is that not crappy or what when is it the kidnapped person they are trying to blame for these kids doing what they did. The main problem is one of the kids uncle is the sheriff and they just wont do anything. What is it going to take its bad enough these kids are getting away with beating people and whatever else they are doing. What is it actually going to take them actually killing someone to get anything done in this town?
