We have been invaded by gnats. Ive fought them tooth & toenail for a month now. Had an apple in the fruit bowl that had a bad place on it & I didnt know it last month. That got them started. Cannot get rid of them and just keep getting more. Ive never had them this time of year. I will sometimes get them in summer when I have some tomatoes laying up for a couple of days to finish ripening, but I can usually leave a piece of fruit peel in the sink an hour or so then sneak up with the bug spray & zap the little suckers gathered on that peel & Im done with them. Ive done everything known to man and they are about to carry us off. For every one I kill, I think 50 more show up for his funeral. I dont know what the problem is, we have never had this trouble. Someone said put apple cider vinegar in a small dish and cover with plastic wrap. Ive done that for a week and the dish is black in the bottom with dead ones, but I cannot miss a one of the little sap suckers. Im about crazy! Got three of those bomb things at Wal Mart. Guess we will put the dogs in the barn tomorrow and just blow those off tomorrow and see if that kills them. They must be bionic gnats
