We have been so busy with rescues, havent had time to post on the page. Heres a rescue from the weekend. We were contacted by Samantha on Saturday, about a roo that had hopped into a suburban backyard in Craigeburn and got a little frightened by the neighbours barking dogs, so much so, that he tried to hide in a good hiding spot, between the fence and a big bird aviary. Fortunately the caller went out to see where he had gone and noticed he was now stuck and wedged in quite tightly. We managed to sedate him and drop a blanket gently over his head, before doing anything, then with the help of the caring neighbours, five palings were taken out of the fence and he was rescued safely. We then assessed him, no injuries except for, minor grazes and pad wear, and being quite thirsty, which we addressed on scene, then it was off to release this beautiful gentle boy. Big thank you to Samantha for getting help and the neighbours, for banding together and helping out.
