We have been told that for the second time in less than a month that the reason we lost phone and Internet service is because a thief has cut fiber optic cable in the Shasta area. This not only inconvenienced the citizens of Shasta, but actually hurt local businesses and services and was unable to conduct business as usual. If you have any information, please contact the Sheriff Department at 245-6540. We also urge the public to please observe and report any suspicious activity near utility facilities and power lines, local businesses and private homes. NOTE: We are in the process of organizing a community neighborhood watch and criminal re-alignment (AB-109) meeting in July here in Shasta. Please check back for more detailed updates.
