We have chickens. They produce more eggs than we can eat. We sell farm fresh, Free Range, no hormone eggs. We sell them for $3.00 a doz. We also date our eggs so that we can rotate and get the oldest gone. There are people who will by from us. If they see a date more than a week old, the balk and do not want them. Do they not understand that the store bought eggs are at least a week old before they get to the stores??? Store bought eggs have to be washed, (They come out of a chickens butt) then they have to be sterilized. Then, they have to be packaged and shipped. EGGS, will stay good in the frig for 1 1/2 to 2 months. WTF?????? Also, we had one person who stopped buying from us cause we raised them 50 cents a dozen. That pays for the food. Think about that the next time you buy eggs. Organic is better, but it is also more expensive cause it is natural.
