We have completely lost it, havent we? I mean, the way some people, in similitude with the throng of Muslims hurling stones and pepples at the Devil as part of the several rites of the Hajj in Saudi, rain and hurl pepples of abuses, curses and virtuperations at each other over some Posts, the themes/ genesis of which they only obviously comprehend in parts, is an indication that we have totally lost it! Im referring to posts on political issues, particularly those on politicians. Maybe i should lay the blame on the social media which has provided a medium for us to vent our anger and frustrations on each other rather than on those who have brought us to this state of malady. After all, we re all just faces on Facebook....no one knows who is who here....its a free for all thing. So, the liberty is there to lambast even ones fathers contemporary.....abi bee ko?....omo Oodua..omo kootu oojiireee? Hnmmmm..... Anyway....my concern stems from the fact that the politicians we passionately defend and kill each other over are the real enemies....not that man/woman youre hating. Do we not know that the reason they jostle for power is not because they have our interest at heart....? Neither is it because they love us or the country....? When you see them grandstanding, pontificating and gesticulating during elections, rest assured Its nothing but a show put up to impress us...majority if not all of them are in their minds calculating the billions they shall soon rake ti e ba ti gòó fun won tan...its all but a show my friends Listen up! ....politics as played in Nigeria is mostly about the material gains, the stupendous wealth, the returns on investments, safeguarding of political territories....thats what its all about! Its for the benefits and the benefit of stooges, families, friends and concubines of politicians. Theres money, plenty money in government waiting to be looted. Our politicians get there and cant keep their greedy hands off the booty. And in order to sustain the looting, they fail to do what is right by the people thereby keeping them in perpetual bondage...and so the cycle continues. And if you didnt know it before, we are puppets in their hands....our progress and development are deterred deliberately to keep us in perpetual poverty.....they impoverish us, refuse to educate us so that we will not know any better. Then they throw us crumbs of rice (they know we are hungry now) kerosine, money etc to induce or sensitize us to vote for them....and each time we collect that dividend, we morgage our development. Alaaru ti n je buredi nko?....mee bawo orii re ni n je ti o mo! But then, how do you convince a poor hungry man not to take a morsel of food from his enemy? KEledua ó ma mu a! Knowing all these...is It sensible then that we lose our sense of decorum, eat and tear ourselves to bits, argue blindly, curse and abuse each other and our offsprings on account of these people..? Is it worth swearing and crossing daggers over these thieves? Misplaced anger gbaa ni! They are the ones we ought to direct our anger at....kaa ya won lóré ti won ba gbe iró o won kale tan.....ka na jowojowo etii won boole.... Hnmmmmm.....O ma se o.... E o si je a rorii wa wo?.........
