We have had quite a few questions about Hanks cancer the last - TopicsExpress

We have had quite a few questions about Hanks cancer the last couple of days. Here are some quick tips in relation to Canine Lymphoma diagnosis, treatment and causes: 1. The most common symptoms are lack of appetite, weight loss, lethargy, and weakness. Our finding a bruise on Hanks thigh is rare but in our case, a blessing as it allowed us to take him to the vet sooner. 2. There are no known causes of Canine Lymphoma. 3. Lymphoma can easily be misdiagnosed if a tumor is not noticeable. We had noticed Hank slowing down over the week preceding the bruise but the weather was warm and we didnt think anything of his behaviour. 4. Chemotherapy is the most common treatment and is usually partnered with high doses of steroids such as prednisone. We are following the Wisconsin Protocol for Hanks chemo. This process lasts 4 - 6 months with treatment each week, in our case, on Mondays. We look forward to keeping everyone updated on Hanks progress each week. Thank you again for your love and support. We couldnt do this without you.
