We have had several people offer to rent to own with a good down payment. I have talked to a few people who are doing this and heard lots of positives. I know there are negatives. I would only do this with someone I know of and think I could trust with a contract through a lawyer. We have had people really want our house, but the banks are not giving loans as easily anymore. Anybody else do this before? Caleb and I are eager to start the process of living in my sisters apartment (for free because my sister is amazing) and start saving and building our house.
