We have had the pleasure to interview two wonderful prospective vets. The first is local and experienced but we were just evidently not her cup of tea since I have reached out to her several times and gotten no response. That is all right. We are not fancy, just efficient. We are not your typical traditional vet office all sterile and business like. We encourage you pet to sit on the couch with you, we often have cupcakes or cookies (homemade) siting out and are installing a coffee maker. We kiss the dog and cats when they come in and make a fuss over each ones cuteness. So for someone looking for a strictly professional, and business like reception as you first walk in the door, we are not it. But once we get to the surgical area, thanks to Dr. Montos wonderful professionalism , (i love this girl and it is killing me she is leaving) we can stand with the best of them. The second yesterday was enthusiastic, skilled, and seemed to love what we do. Dr. Monto was extremely impressed with her skills and knowledge and her personality was bubbly and sunny. Three more to interview this week and next, praying there will be a right fit and the transition will be seamless. It will be very hard to find another Dr. Monto but with her help we are diligently looking. I have two prayer requests one for the Sanctuary to receive the funding it needs to continue and grow. And two for the right vet to come and for Dr. Monto to change her mind and stay also. I know big prayers but I serve a BIG GOD so why not ask.
