We have just had two really successful days petitioning & leafleting in Dawley & Madeley. People overwhelming disagreed with the Bedroom Tax & were pleased to see us out there raising awareness. We met people who were affected by it & using food banks as a result of it & many people who were not affected themselves but knew someone who was - out of the small minority who said they agreed with it, all but 4 changed their minds when presented with the facts. This is a vile attack on the poor by a Government full of millionaires. There are not enough 1 & 2 bedroom properties for people to downsize to. The threat of eviction through rent arrears is causing people stress & anxiety & sending them to foodbanks. Do we really want to see more homeless people on our streets? If you are not affected by it be offended by it. Join the campaign, sign the petition, attend the meetings & share this page to spread the word. Fight to abolish the Bedroom Tax.
