We have lived in Alaska for over 35 years without any relatives nearby. I have had to make Thanksgiving dinner, many years all by myself without any help. It was so much work, cooking and cleaning for the three days before Thanksgiving and the day of Thanksgiving that I was always so exhausted, I couldnt really enjoy it, but I wanted my family to have a wonderful holiday. I cooked everything from scratch of course. This year we were invited by Randy and Susan to their restaurant and Chef Eli made most delicious dinner with help from his mom and dad! Chef Elis special grandma, Bonnie Richards from Sitka was here and his family. What a complete and total blessing it was this year to be spoiled and actually enjoy the holiday! My precious granddaughter, Tzadi, started the day off perfectly, she gave me and Ron a Thank-you card, thanking us for all our hard work, love, and for raising her. I, of course, cried a little. She let me know how much she appreciates me. What an awesome kid! We are so blessed, God is so good and His loving-kindness is over-whelming! M
