We have lots of FREE events on at Summerhall this weekend! TODAY (FRIDAY 11TH) We have Africa in Motion (AiM) film festival screening Town of Runners - a feature documentary about young people from the Ethiopian rural town of Bekoji, whose runners have won 8 Olympic Gold medals, 32 World Championships and broken 10 world records in the last 20 years. On at 7pm in our Red Lecture Theatre. Also at 7pm in the Demonstration Room we have Auld Enemies, a groundbreaking exploration of contemporary Scottish poetics through the potential of collaboration. TOMORROW (SATURDAY 12TH) From 10am we have Dissection Room Residencies Archiving Exhibition. A chance to explore the work that these three amazing groups of artists have been making through experiencing an exhibit documenting personal archives of their work and artistic process. Running till 6pm. Then at 7pm Africa in Motion Film Festival are back with The Fighting Spirit - a spirited look at Ghana through the eyes of those fighting for their dreams. Also running all day today and tomorrow National Collective are here with Yestival: The Summer of Independence. Please find a full programme of their events linked in the comments section below.
