We have reached that time of the year where our average afternoon high temperatures have hovered right around 90 degrees...which is the climatological average for the middle of June. A large high pressure area remains centered over the Tennessee and lower Mississippi river valleys...so overall conditions will change little over the next several days. We here at the National Weather Service were curious with regards to what your ideas are for ideal summer temperatures. Have our current temperatures been a little on the hot side...not quite hot enough yet...or just right for you ? (P.S. This is just an informal survey...in reality...we can expect average temperatures to gradually climb into late July and August.)
