We have received a lot of requests to join the CUC. We very happy that a lot of people have shown such interest! God be praised! Perhaps some of our new friends maybe shocked to see posts and affirmative responses from other religious traditions such as Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism, Sufi Islam (with the addition Joseph Campbell and Carl Jung and other scholars that Bro Gino fansgirl for), theosophy, even atheism (!), etc. The Catholic Universalist Church is an Independent Sacramental community within the Liberal Catholic Movement. We are not Roman Catholic, but we respect and love the Bishop of Rome and all the other Bishops all around the world! We are brothers and sisters through Christ Jesus. Our Church belongs to the ultra-liberal spectrum of Christianity. We have no binding doctrines wherein people should and must follow or obey. We believe that the Inner Light of Christ, which is within all men and women, guides one to the Truth. There is no religion higher than Truth and all religious movements help us attain this We commonly hold to the doctrine of Universalism (hence, the name) which believes in a reformative and temporary hell. We believe that in the fullness of time, the Love of God will save everyone and salvation, unity and life everlasting will come to all sentinent beings from all worlds through the merits of Christ Jesus in this. We practice open communion, that is, everyone is free to parkate of the Eucharist. We also allow our priests to get married and extend ordination to women and those in the LGBTQ community. We do not impose our doctrines to anyone. We simply want to help you in making our world a place of peace and light where the Kingdom of Heaven can be finally found.
