We have two very sleepy boys tonight, they are already asleep which is good because we have to get up early for Austins oral surgery tomorrow. They are removing his front teeth and fixing a bunch of the back ones. His teeth have had a lot of problems because of his high fevers and medications that he is on. We are hoping that he does well tomorrow with the surgery and recovery. He had his pre-op appointment and we went over all of his medical information and precautions. They have to use new medications for sedating him due to some can cause a mito crash. I am glad that they know what they are doing!! We have to be there at 8:30 am for a 10:30 surgery start time. His gastro appointment went well but they are once again talking about him needing a feeding tube :( We have to have more labwork done on him to check him for some more metabolic testing and to check for dehydration issues. They are concerned with him still asperating and are confused as to how he is maintaining his weight with not adequate food and nutrition intake. They are thinking that he may have a condition where he can not process the foods appropriately and it is causing him to store the fats from the foods. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers during his surgery tomorrow and on this scary road of finding answers for both of my boys!
