I was sitting in 8th grade math in mrs. Whites class at Rucker Stewart Middle School. As the quarterback I was getting mentally prepared to take on Hawkins middle school that evening when an announcement for all football players to go to the cafeteria came on the intercom. I was confused, it was there we found out the game had been canceled due to a terrorist attack on our great country and thousands had lost their lives. 9/11/2001 is a day that will be etched in my mind forever, Ill never forget that day. It was a terrible day for us Americans. 9/11/2001 is a day of sadness but what that day brought to me Ill forever be grateful. I didnt know The Lord prior to that day, and on that day I still didnt. It took a whole year of searching and worry over whats going to happen to America for me to figure out where I needed to stand. On September 15, 2002 I gave my life over to Jesus, I wanted my eternity secured. In a weird way thank you terrorist for opening my eyes to truth. However your fight will not last because the creator Jesus has everything in HIS control. I will Never forget those who tried to save lives in the burning buildings or the soldiers who fought to protect us. Thank you #neverforget
