We have various business accounts with First National Bank - - TopicsExpress

We have various business accounts with First National Bank - private companies and trusts. Out of the blue, a firm of attorneys contacted us on behalf of FNB. Has somebody else had the request from some firm of attorneys to submit all sorts of business information electronically - including financials? This seems to be a massive invasion of privacy and an ideal situation for identity fraud. My opinion is the bank is not entitled to ask for sensitive business information (stopping short of what is in the office fridge), particularly when the bank owes us the money - not the other way around!! It seems this is a clear violation of article 14 of The Constitution - The Right to Privacy as it is a PRIVATE Company. Or is this the SA version of the Nigerian 419 scam?? Anybody else interested in joining forces to curb this invasion of privacy?
